The seal body is square and stately. The knob is high?relief carved with two intertwined dragons chasing a pearl. Dragons coil dynamically with meticulously rendered manes, scales and claws, conveying imposing momentum. Original aged hemp cord tassel is retained through the aperture. The seal face bears positive seal?script characters with elegant calligraphy and steady cutting. Imperial jade seals symbolize supreme imperial authority of Qing court. Large?scaled material and elaborate carving rank it among major imperial jade works.
