Vintage black and white postcard featuring a view of the Royal Palace in Stockholm, annotated by the King on the upper margin "This is the Palace, Stockholm, where we live", with handwritten message on the verso reading "Thanking you for your kind message, we send you all our best wishes for Xmas and the New Year", signed by Gustav VI Adolf and his second wife Louise Mountbatten, mounted framed and glazed; with an autograph card from the king to Mr Sparks, an art dealer, saying he is sorry "it wasn't possible to acquire the blue-and-white vase" and adding "I shall always be very pleased to have information from you as to interesting pieces in the market or coming up for sale in the future", two pages, embossed monogram, file hole to upper left corner, 8vo, The Palace, Stockholm, 19 February 1959, mounted, framed and glazed.
