A selection of letters and drawings between the two actors, featuring humorous exchanges by fictional characters they created, including:

Peter Cushing, a letter to Mr Morris Grovenor written in a funny mix of English and French, saying a Monsieur Cochon (allegedly a friend of Mr Grosvenor) has left without paying his bill and asking Mr Grosvenor to settle it;

Peter Cushing, an autograph letter as 'Corporal Coshon', accusing Grosvenor of having forced him to join the Foreign Legion "Mie hart bleeds. It's all kamles and dung and sand and march, march, march", with the original draft of the letter;

***The collection shows a fine insight into the humorous friendship between Peter Cushing and Peter Ustinov. The two Peters began their exchange of humorous correspondence in 1955 whilst Cushing was appearing in a BBC drama "The Moment of Truth", based upon a play written by Ustinov. Although their correspondence ended shortly after the play was broadcast, they remained great friends and occasionally reprised their characters’ correspondence in later years, usually with deliberate misspellings of names and events
