Extremely fine oval half-length portrait of Victoria Eugenie in an elaborate day dress with puffed sleeves and lace trimmings and a magnificent wide-brimmed hat, signed in fountain pen ink "Victoria Eugenie 1906" (the year of her marriage), on original mount, some unevenness of toning along oval's margins, inscribed to the verso "Presented by H.R.H. Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg to Dr. Price Oxley, May 1906", some residue of previous mount.
