From autumn 1905, he began a collaboration with the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory that lasted over 50 years, during which time he designed the first majolica garden figures and decorative birds for the Brussels World Exhibition in 1910, some of which still decorate the Nymphenburg Botanical Garden today, including the present model.
