Description
This vintage brutalist hand pressed optic art glass vase designed by Jan Schmid/Rosice for Union Sklo, pattern #974. This pattern style was designed and produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. In some angles it looks transparent, in others a bright icy blue hue. The visual effect of the lotus shaped lobes around the body is complemented by the pulled waist. The waist cleverly grounds this design. Originally designed by Jan Schmid, hand pressed by Rosice Sklo in 1963.
