Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts a Coastal view of Mount Desert Island, Maine, as seen across the water from a vantage point near Isle au Haut. Signed at the bottom right and dated 1948.
The sheet measures approximately 15'' X 20''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with light toning. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch's mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
