Other notes: The town of Serab ? about 70 miles east of Tabriz ? provided a market for rugs of about twenty nearby villages. Serab rugs almost invariably take the form of a runner, as the town?s looms were suited to produce few other forms. Compactly made, these rugs display a distinctive camel border and fields with a limited range of designs.
