A large lacquered-brass compound monocular microscope of Leitz-type form, having a telescoping body tube with removable eyepiece and single objective, cylindrical focusing pillar with top-mounted fine-adjustment control, and an adjustable mechanical stage with slide carrier. The optical assembly and stage incline on a joint above a substantial Y-shaped brass foot. A pivoting substage mirror provides transmitted illumination. Additional controls include paired stage-adjustment wheels and a lower focusing or inclination mechanism. No maker?s signature or serial number is visible in the supplied photographs.
