American improvisational utility quilt constructed from an exuberant assortment of brightly colored novelty and juvenile-print cotton fabrics. Red, blue and multicolored sections include stars, toys, cartoon-like imagery, geometric patterns and other playful printed designs, with additional floral and patterned panels incorporated along one side. Plaid fabric forms a narrow irregular border. The free-form arrangement and vivid commercial prints create an energetic example of American scrap and utility quilting. Exact date unknown.
