An early 20th-century American hand-cranked bread maker manufactured by Landers, Frary and Clark of New Britain, Connecticut. The appliance is constructed from galvanized metal and includes a tapered bucket, a lid with a locking cast metal crossbar, a manual crank handle with a turned wood grip, and an internal spiral steel dough hook. A large embossed circular medallion on the front of the bucket reads: No. 4 UNIVERSAL BREAD MAKER AWARDED GOLD MEDAL ST. Measurements/Notes: 10 x 12.
