The bowl is beautifully hand chased around the rim with exceptionally crisp and detailed repousse floral decoration, against a richly textured stippled background. The repousse features various distinct types of flower in a very bold and recognizable way, rather than the classical floral melange that repousse generally entails. This piece is stamped on the underside with the S. Kirk & Son maker's mark as well as sterling and a product number 409. This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the chased decoration are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
