From the early 20th Century, a charming rustic, hand-made French Finch bird trapping cage, capable of catching two birds independently. The bird lands on the trap to feed from the small food tray and it's weight causes the lid to drop down, trapping the bird inside. Painted the typical green and made of tin and wood, showing a lovely time-worn patina.

The two bait stands are loosely attached with wire. The two side traps open from above, the center area has a swing-out door with a wire closure, a top wire carrying handle and a branch perch.

So decorative! Filled with flowers, this cage would make a delightful table center.
