Found in Spain while on a European buying trip. Originally used to transport liquids such as wine and olive oil. The neck would have been stoppered with a cork. Botijas also served to provide ballast on ships. This one has a lovely green glaze and textured surface. A custom iron stand is included. The overall measurements when displayed in stand are 22.5H x 12W x 12D. The pot by itself measures 19.5H x 11.5W x 11.5D. The stand by itself measures 9H x 12W x 12D.
