Super cool mid-century modern floor lamp with two orb-shaped shades made of spun fiberglass threads. Inside each shade there's also a cylinder-shaped plastic diffuser. When lit this lamp illuminates beautifully through the fiberglass. The top half of the stem is bare brass and while the bottom hal and base are wrapped in a faux wood (dark walnut) vinyl covering. 1st click on the little knob lights up the top shade, 2nd click lights up the lower shade, 3rd click turns off the top shade and 4th click turns off the lower shade. Please note that this lamp produces ambient/mood lighting, not designed to completely brighten up an entire room on its own.

The clicking of the knob is smooth.
