Absolutely stunning vintage Chinese gilded wood carving relief panel depicting a nature scene with birds in a lotus garden. Unlike most other Chinese gilded wood carving reliefs which tend to depict human scenes of everyday life, royal court activities, etc this piece is strictly nature-inspired and displays a more western appearance a la Audubon. I'm uncertain of the age of this panel as it could be an Vintage from at least 100 years ago or perhaps a bit later from the mid century period. Either way it is a beautiful striking piece of artisan handcrafted art!
