Description
A superb and scarce pair of hand-wrought iron andirons featuring elegantly curved "goose-neck" uprights, typical of American colonial craftsmanship. Dating to the late 1700s or early 1800s, these andirons display excellent proportions, original surface patina, and classic splayed legs. A fine example of early American hearth ware-both functional and decorative. Very good condition with expected wear for age.
