French Sarreguemines Advertising Face Jug for Greer's Scotch Whiskey, 1890s

Description

Made as a premium for the British, Scottish, and Irish pubs, and used for water when mixing a whiskey, a scarce advertising face jug. The French Sarreguemines majolica barbotine mold, Tete #3181.

Transfer printed: OVH Greer's 10 Years Old Whiskey. Wm. Greer & Co. Ltd. Glasgow. OVH stands for Old Vatted Highland.

This jug looks amazing sitting on the bar.
A scarce example.

Makers mark and mold number on the bottom, circa 1890s.
