Description
This is a fantastic and rare vintage 1970s cube clock made by Washington Clock Works of Seattle, Washington. The cube case is made of oak wood with a plastic cover and floats above a partially hidden black base. Bottom of the cube has a small screw that allows you to remove the clock face to change the battery (AA). The clock movement is by Kienzle of Germany.
Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: Top surface of the cube shows the most cosmetic wear (see photo) and could benefit from a refinish if desired. The right edge in the front is splitting but will be glued back before I ship it out to new owner. All the other sides also show some cosmetic wear but quite minor compared to the top surface. The plastic cover also has some scratches and general wear associated with clear plastic. The battery holder looks burned (see photo) but the clock movement does work. However when putting in a new battery the negative charge end of the battery (left side) has to be a bit off center in order for the clock to work.
