This Early 20th Century Hotel Silver Silverplate Brown Palace Hotel Food Dome was used to cover food items for service while dining. The piece is hallmarked Brown Palace Hotrl Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 2500A3 12 on the under side. Hotel or commercial silverplate is heavy and usually triple-plated silver over another type of metal to make it durable. Today, these vintage pieces are highly collectable. This food cover or dome has been well used over time and the imperfections only add to the patina.
