Description
1960s T-form polished aluminum desk lamp. Design: Paul Mayen for HABITAT INC.
Very cool 60's desk lamp. A really substantial and sturdy 'sculpture' (functional) for your desk. It makes a dramatic statement whether turned on or off. Formed from thick polished aluminum. Perfect working condition. We even sourced the best bulbs for you. Warm-white LED tube bulbs that will last for years and never get hot.
We're calling this: INDUSTRIAL SPACE AGE (design).
Turning the switch gives 4 settings; left side only on, right side only on, both on or both off. Large and important, this authentic mid-century modern beauty is in very good condition. Hardly a noticeable mark and maintains its original polished shine. Very high-end craftsmanship and materials. Few of these lamps are found, most likely due to a substantially higher price point compared to most of Mayen's other designs using plastic/acrylic elements. (see included photo showing 1964 HABITAT catalog cover and product page) shown for reference/perspective only.
Includes the original HABITAT, INC. label/decal removed from the inner bulb/shade area. (It was coming loose, so to preserve it we carefully removed and protected it, see photos)
Approx measurements: 24" Length x 7.25" Depth x 12" Height
