Vintage gold-plated Etruscan design bracelet by Ernest Steiner. An elaborate and intricately detailed domed centerpiece is flanked by tight rows of flattened link chains, finished with etched and notched panels at the clasps. Ernest Steiner was a European emigre to Canada in the 1920s, who believed all women should have access to beautifully made jewelry; he intended for his creations to pass for the real thing. His jewelry is extremely rare and much sought after. This bracelet is a stunnign example of his creativity and workmanship; the attention to detail, the weight and balance, and the subtle gold plating all attest to his masterful talent.
