Vintage Florentine Style Shell & Acanthus Leaf Mirror

Description

A 19th century Florentine style wall mirror with an ornate gilt frame.

We commissioned this mirror for our store in the 1980s from a wonderful family-owned factory in Mexico. It was styled after an Italian 19th Century Florentine wall mirror with deeply carved Acanthus leaf and shell design. Similar to the style of that time, this mirror has a deep relief filigree and delicate line of beading on the interior. Made of finely cast resin with a hand applied gilt finish in light gold.
