This finest quality Italian tapestry shows a late 18th Century scene at Lake Como in northern Italy.

The Ladies gather on another scene taken from this beautiful piece "The Terrace Elegance" which also is in it's own right another famous Italian woven tapestry it features a small party of nobility, enjoying the view from the terrace.

The gardens are plush and magnificent, and this tapestry has capture every detail. In the background is Villa d'Este, one of the most outstanding examples of Renaissance design and architecture.

Lake Como is off to the left, disappearing into the low hills beyond. Lake Como terrace elegance is a classic of the work of the 18th Century, fine in composition, stunning in the use of color and control of lighting.
