Stunning vintage Victorian-style cast brass and lead crystal basket chandelier, illuminated by three lightbulbs (believed to be late 1930s/early 1940s). The dimensions of the hardwired chandelier are as follows:

Overall length (from canopy to bottom of finial): approximately 17 inches
Diameter of canopy: 5 inches
Chain drop: 4.25 inches
Length from canopy to top of brass frame: 8 inches
Basket height: 7.5 inches approximately
Basket diameter: 10 inches (top); 4 inches (lower)
Finial length: 2.5 inches

The overall vintage condition of the chandelier is good to very good, with these special notes on all aspects of the chandelier:

* There are 24 crystal strands with varying sizes of crystals. All crystals are in very good condition and are in place

* The brass circular frame of the chandelier, which is approximately one-inch wide, features a vine decorative pattern with 15 leaves in two different sizes rising above it: Some of the leaves are 2 inches high and some are 1.25 inches high. All are in very good condition.

* Rising from the center of the chandelier's body dish are 6 brass ornamental flower vines, which are 4.25 inches long. One vine is missing a 2.5-inch piece, which is packaged in a bag and bubble wrap and comes with the sale. The flower vines are attached to the body dish with screws, so the one with the missing piece can be removed so that a professional can reattach the missing piece to the vine and then reattach it to the chandelier. The other 5 flower vines are in very good condition (see the last two photos showing the vine with the missing piece and the missing piece that will be sent along with chandelier).

* There are remnants of white paint along the edge of the lovely, intricately detailed canopy, which can be removed with paint stripper (see seventh photo)

* The chain connector link has a separation; it is possible that, at some point, a chain link might have been removed to shorten the drop of the chandelier. It can be securely closed up by a professional (see third from last photo)

* 3-light socket is stamped: Leviton / Made in USA / PRESS / 660W 250V. It shows aging.

While the chandelier works, I recommend that a professional upgrade the wiring in the fixture given its age. The brass could also benefit from dust removal in the intricate grooves.
