This is an unusual snuff bottle in terms of size and color. The material is dendritic jasper, an interesting form of Jasper, prized for its unusual pattern that resembles fossilized plants. The fern-like or flower like filaments are actually inclusions of iron and manganese oxide. The pink color or the body could come from various minerals that is pink chalcedony, rose quartz, rhodonite. The squat square form with its recessed straight oval feet has a large surface to show off the unusual dark inclusions. The straight neck with large opening is encased in silver, as is the pink color stone stopper. The surface is well polished and the the bottle is very endearing.
