Vintage Steiff Studio Monkey, measuring approximately 34" long. Features brown mohair covering with felt face, ears, hands, and feet, and retains the Steiff metal button in the ear. The arms and legs are movable, allowing the monkey to be posed in a seated position. Shows considerable age-related wear from display, handling, and storage, including soiling, staining, fading and discoloration. Areas of mohair loss and thinning, and wear and deterioration to the felt. Hands and feet show losses, holes, exposed stuffing, repairs, and other damage, particularly to the fingers and toes.
