Perfect for gift-giving, this antique box was never used, stored all these years in a cool dry place. This Japanese antique, wooden jewelry box is lacquered red on the outside and black on the interior with hand painted decor/art motifs along with embossing throughout the exterior. The top lifts so you can store your jewelry, coins, trinkets, etc. The box was purchased for big money as a gift during a trip to Japan way back in the 1950s, making this a rare vintage collectible. These types of boxes are hard to find online, in consignment shops, resale shops or import stores, making this enamel box highly prized and valuable. Pice sticker residue is still visible on bottom, Stored in a cool dry place. Comes from a smoke-free/pet-free home.
