Description
From Provence in southern France, this handcrafted pottery vessel circa 1860 features a soft amber yellow glaze and small round handles. Traditional preserving jars like this were used in French kitchens to store jams and conserves. The lip at the top of the jar was for fastening a fabric cover. In very good antique condition. Mouth opening, 7"Dia.
