PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND!! Gorgeous Studio Art Pottery vase by Jamie Davis, circa 1980s. It measures 8.5" tall and approximately 10.5" at its widest across the top opening. Has a funky, Postmodern Memphis Milano era vibe! It is made of Raku fired black clay with an energetic & joyous abstract floral (?) glaze. Impressed JD mark on base. Condition appears excellent with no damage I can see. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.


Ceramicist Jamie Davis was born in Philadelphia in 1945. He earned a BA from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, in 1967, an MA from Exeter College, England, in 1971, and an MFA from Clemson University, South Carolina, in 1973. His work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., and in many major museums, galleries and private collections.
