Description
Duck, duck, green salt and pepper shakers1
Ok, it's not as catchy as the name of the popular child's game, but these hand painted porcelain salt and pepper shakers would be a fun addition to your table or collection. Painted in the modernist style with green and pink accents and produced in Japan in the 1950's and 1960's.

Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: Both shakers are in great vintage condition with no cracks or major visible chips. There are couple of tiny chips near the base of the shakers but overall the detailed painting is undisturbed. The lower front of each shaker, the duck's breast, has a smooth white finish which may be an intentional choice for this area of the duck's body since it appears on both shakers or created from use over the years. Although I'm not sure exactly how this would have happened since no other part other of the shaker shows any signs of wear of this type at all.
One of the ducks is missing the stopper on the bottom.
