Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso light sky blue over deep red Italian art glass bird figure on rock base. Attributed to designer Archimede Seguso, and similar to earlier Seguso Vetri d'Arte pieces. The red fades to a lighter, almost rose color, when it reaches the tail and wing feathers. The base has an irregular spiky rock shape. As you can see from the last photos, there is a chip and 2 fleabites along the edge. Would make a great display piece on any desk, console table or curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Measures 6 3/8" tall x 4 1/2" long x 2 3/4" wide.
