Trio of Wedgewood blue & white ironstone transferware plates featuring historical American architecture. The center medallion shows the subject building, two of the plates have matching borders of roses and vines, the other border has a floral, grain, and vegetable motif.

The larger (10.2" dia) plate has underglaze backstamps of Wedgewood of Etrurira & Barlaston, Made in England as well as engraved by the Wedgewood Studios. The building is identified as the "University of Iowa 1956" although the coded, incised date stamp dates the fabrication to March 1959.. The other two plates (9.25" dia.) are identified as Longfellow's Early Home of Portland, Maine and Faneuil Hall (Boston MA) and share a "Wedgewood Etruria England" underglaze fabricator mark and importer's marks "Jones, McDuffee, & Stratton, Boston" and "Copyright J. McD & S 1899". The incised date codes are illegible but styling of the Wedgewood mark suggests fabrication as early as 1940.

All are in excellent condition with vibrant colors, no chips, no cracks, no crazing. Ideal for display.
