1958 Vintage Mid-Century Modern Blenko Fluted Glass Turquoise Vase #404-M by Wayne Husted

Beautiful vibrant turquoise color mouth blown Blenko glass vase by designer Wayne Husted, the #404-M fluted vase was introduced in1953 to the Blenko line. BLENKO is acid-etched on the base, as was all Blenko production used from the Spring of 1958 to Summer of 1961.

This is a wonderful and well-preserved piece in excellent mint condition - no cracks, nicks, or stains.

Wayne Husted was the most prolific Blenko designer and is often credited as the most talented and popular of the Blenko designers. Trained in the Bauhaus School of Design that emphasized the study of how materials are formed, Husted has spent his career seeking new processes and molding techniques for forming glass.
