Rare early 20th-century bisque porcelain busts of Louise and Alexandre Brongniart, after Jean-Antoine Houdon, produced by Camille Tharaud in Limoges, France.

Crafted in unglazed white porcelain, each bust rests on a cobalt blue Sevres-style porcelain socle with gilt fillets and a gilt bronze dore ormolu base. Marked "C Tharaud" in gold and "LIMOGES FRANCE" in green beneath the base..Limited production; few known examples exist.

Note: Bust of Alexandre is slightly smaller.
