This is an unsigned but exquisitely painted snuff bottle in the traditional Chinese Landscape Painting. To be specific, it is the Wu School painting, a long established tradition in accordance to the style established by the great Yuan Dynasty Landscape paiinters. Literati painters of the Ming Dynasty established the Wu School, represented by Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming, Tang Yin and Qiu Ying. It is a joy to see a snuff bottle that followed the tradition of overlapping mountains, river with promontory and pavilions jutting out from the cliffs under waterfalls.The glass bottle is matched with a green stone top.
