This early 20th-century amethyst glass bottle was produced by the Larkin Company of Buffalo, New York, known for its household and toiletry products distributed through mail-order catalogs. The bottle features the embossed mark "Larkin Co. Buffalo," a cork top, and visible air bubbles within the glass-indicative of early mold-blown manufacturing techniques. The deep purple hue results from manganese content in the glass, later irradiated to produce its rich amethyst tone. A collectible artifact of American industrial design, it displays beautifully in both antique and modern settings.
