Dating to the early 20th century , this is a Fulper Spongeware No 4 Ice water color. It is a distinctive blue Spongeware glazed stoneware with spigot at the bottom for dispensing water. It features a Molded Barrel Form with Four Incised Hoops Top and Bottom, "Ice Water" on the Front, the Company Advertising on the Back, and Blue and Cream Sponging! Stands 14 inches tall. Comes with a wood lid that may or may not be the original lid. It has been an eye catching decoration in our large country kitchen for many years.
