Description
An American hand-operated pinking machine produced by Singer. The unit is constructed from cast iron with a black crinkle finish and features a hand crank with a turned wooden handle. The mechanism consists of a two-gear drive system that powers a circular pinking wheel against a polished steel feed plate, supported by a ball-bearing assembly. The base of the unit is marked with gold-toned lettering that reads SINGER and U.S.A. A top-mounted adjustment screw is marked LOOSEN with a directional arrow. Included with the machine is a paper instruction booklet, designated as Form 18845 (135), which bears the text INSTRUCTIONS for using the Hand Operated SINGER ball bearing PINKING MACHINE No. 121379 and lists copyright dates of 1933, 1934, and 1935 by The Singer Manufacturing Co.
