Antique Dark Brown Lacquer Side Chair With Rattan Seat From China, 19th Century

Description

A 19th century Chinese dark brown lacquer wooden side chair with rattan seat and back. The chair showcases traditional Chinese carved details on its wooden frame. The top rail is adorned with carved scrolls, nicely echoed on the base. Each section of the chair is enhanced by carved outlines while the seat rests on a carved skirt. The seat and the back are made of rattan, a traditional Chinese material contrasting beautifully with the dark hue of the brown lacquer. This Chinese 19th century dark brown lacquer and rattan chair would add an uncommon touch in most homes, perhaps in a dining room, office of foyer.
