Description
The Skinny
A classic, old-world set of Bernardaud / B&C Limoges dessert plates featuring a crisp Greek key border, delicate gilt garlands, and tiny jewel-tone dot accents. The backstamp (green B&C Limoges France with L. Bernardaud Limoges in gold) points to early 20th-century French production, circa 1900-1930-the kind of understated luxury that makes even a simple slice of cake feel like an occasion.
More Details
These are antique French porcelain dessert plates from Limoges, crafted by Bernardaud (B&C)-one of the region's most respected houses. The design is timeless and very "grand salon": an elegant gilded rim, neoclassical Greek key, and a soft, symmetrical garland motif spaced around the well. They style beautifully with traditional china, but they're also a chic "high/low" pairing with modern stoneware and crisp linens.
Overall very good antique condition for age. Some light surface wear consistent with gentle use. Minor mark/brush-slip on the underside and small areas of wear to the gold stamp/gilding (please see close-ups).
