A fine Regency tole tray of octagonal shape with black ground and gilt border of oak leaves, flower heads, thistles and sea shells dating from the early 19th century. Perfect for the Federal or classical interior. Has canted sides that angle inward and cut out handles with rolled edge. Measures 18" x 14 1/8" and 2" deep. Good overall condition - original surface.
