This is a beautiful lidded tureen, made in Italy for Mottahedeh, in the Peking Duck motif that is suited beautifully for display in any Chinoiserie space! All hand-painted in beautiful rust-orange and gold, with hints of celedon on the exterior and glazed on the interior with celedon. It is just GORGEOUS in detail and craftsmanship. Perfect for the shelves of an office or study, as mantle decoration in a cozy library, or as a centerpiece on a buffet or dining table, these collectible lidded pieces are very versatile, and this would also make a lovely gift!
I cannot find any flaws in the piece - it is ready to show!
