Tibetan Buddhist painted stool. Hand-carved from a tree trunk, with a hand-hollowed core and natural tree form on the outside. Painted in the Tibetan tradition of scrolling vines and lotus flowers, Deer and geese appear in the pattern. The side has open vent windows, and the top also. Classic color family of Himalayan temples. The trunk is topped by a solid panel, making a seat.
