This small desktop box by Napier pairs a warm solid teak body with a fitted silverplate lid cast in an interlocking scroll and knotwork design that draws from Celtic and Art Nouveau influences. The relief work on the lid is deeply modeled with a hammered ground, and the overall combination of silver and teak is very much in keeping with the Scandinavian-influenced aesthetic Napier worked with during this period. The lid lifts off rather than hinging, and the base is cork. Marked "Napier" on the interior of the lid.

The box measures 4.75 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep by 1.75 inches tall. It is in good vintage condition with age-appropriate tarnish and wear to the silverplate. Please see all available photographs and consider them as part of the item description.
