Vintage Shafford Black Cat Jam and Marmalade redware manufactured in Japan in the 1950's. This vintage piece features 2 cat heads connected to make a darling serving dish for jam and marmalade. The lids with the bows are the serving spoons, one with a "J", one with an "M". Measuring about 4" high and 6" wide. The rest of the paint, including red ear-inners and J & M, green eyes and white cold painted whiskers. Bottom is marked "880". This cat container has a sticker on the back that shows "Mountface Mt NY" which can be removed but I chose to leave it for now.
