Antique Walnut Spindle Chair With Embroidered Back and Seat

Description

This dark walnut chair is absolutely antique, although I do not know its origins. It's handsome proportions and strong presence caught my eye at a store in Charlottesville, VA. I reupholstered it in a flax linen with gorgeous embroidery, and trimmed it all out in a Samuel & Sons double-cord cotton trim. The seat was slightly restuffed for comfort, and the underside professionally finished by the upholsterer. It is stable and lightweight - the perfect statement chair that is also fantastic for pulling into a seating arrangement.
