Peter Keil is a German artist who focuses primarily on abstract expressionism. Keil painted with some of the greats, including Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, to name a few.

This is an incredible abstract portrait of Peter's dear friend and mentor, Pablo Picasso, that is painted in a very Picasso-style manner. It is signed "P. Keil" in the lower right corner and executed with acrylic on board and framed. It is titled and signed "My Friend Pablo, P. Keil" on the verso.

This piece was purchased by the Bowen family as a routine purchase directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter.
