Here is a fine quality heavy black lacquer jewelry box with a wonderful line carved mother of pearl inlay geisha girl scene on the top and flower and diamond repeat patterns around three sides and a fantastic tarnished brass lock hasp on the front but I don't have a lock. The inside is covered in red fabric and has a lift out tray with two compartments and a ring holder below which is another storage level.

The outside of the box is in good condition with only minor signs of age, use and wear including loss to the gold painted line around the geisha scene. The interior fabric has some soil stains and the mirror has age discoloration.

The box measures 11 inches wide, 7 1/4 inches deep and 3 inches high.
