A collection of four commemorative ceramic beer steins, each featuring high-relief molded decoration and ornamental metal lids with decorative thumb rests and finials. The first stein features a cream-colored body with a transfer-print rectangular panel depicting a blacksmith at an anvil, finished with a metal lid featuring a colorful circular insert on the top. The second stein, a 1993 edition, is titled Postal Service and Pony Express, featuring a colorful central panel of a rider; the surrounding relief work depicts an Air Mail courier, a steam locomotive, and the likeness of Benjamin Franklin. The third stein commemorates Christopher Columbus, molded with the dates 1492 and 1451-1506, and depicting Columbus, Queen Isabella, and the three ships Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.
